Under His Wings — “Often when earth has no balm for my healing, there I find comfort and there I am blessed.”
Audrey Virginia (Hash) Bush, 91, passed peacefully Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at Prestige Care in Clarkston. Audrey was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Spokane, to George Leonard Hash and Etta Mae Bishop.
While attending Washington State College in Pullman, she met Tom Bush and they were married Jan. 20, 1945. The marriage of 72 years blessed them with three daughters and a son. Mom became a farm wife and was a great cook and a wonderful pie maker. She cooked part time at Kappa Delta sorority at WSU, then when they moved off the farm into Pullman, she obtained her cosmetology license and opened a small shop in her home. She enjoyed meeting her customers and neighbors.
Audrey and Tom moved to Nehalem, Ore., for 13 years and served their Lord volunteering at Cannon Beach Christian Conference Center, a highlight of their lives. In 2002 they moved back up to Clarkston to be near family.
Audrey is survived by her husband Tom at the family home in Clarkston; daughters Virginia, Suzanne and Loretta; son Tom; grandsons Cortney, Christopher and Layton; great-grandson Cash; and great-granddaughter Sloan; also a foster sister, Deanna Lower.
There will be no service at this time. Our many thanks to staff at Prestige Care and St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for their loving care. The family suggests contributions to Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, N.C. 28607, or online.
