Barbara Lea "Barb" Bennett passed away peacefully in her sleep at home Sunday, March 25, 2018, at the age of 63. Barb was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, on June 16, 1954, to Lyle and Paulene Bennett. Barbara was the youngest of three girls. The family moved to Lewiston in 1959, where she attended school, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1972. She had a few jobs before starting work at the Social Security Administration in 1981, where she worked until she retired in 2009.
Barbara was a loving mother to her son, Justin, born in 1978. She loved the outdoors, camping with her friends and family, and cooking - a talent she often shared with friends and family, who enjoyed the treats she created in her kitchen.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her two sisters, Twila Bennett and Dorthea "Dotty" Stoddard; as well as her son, Justin (Amber) Bennett; and three grandchildren, Joseph Bennett, Gabrielle Bennett and Abram Bennett.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
