Bernita Elizabeth Linderman passed away Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at the age of 75 in Moscow.
Bernita was born to James and Faye (Nelson) Bertholf on Jan. 1, 1940, in Kendrick, in the back of the doctor's office. She grew up in northern Idaho and met and married the love of her life, Michael Victor Linderman. They were married June 9, 1964, in Moscow.
Bernita was active in her church, serving in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Troy as the secretary for the Sabbath School there. She also loved singing and had a beautiful voice. Bernita enjoyed volunteering her time at the 1912 Center in Moscow, donating her delicious bread rolls each week. Bernita also loved camping all over the Northwest. She was particularly good at embroidery and making quilts.
Bernita is survived by her husband of 51 years, Michael at the family home in Moscow; children Evelyn (David) Coley of Moscow, Victor (Darcy) Linderman of Palouse, Rachel (Raymond) Aske of Troy and Willi (Brian) Baier of Troy; grandchildren Jesse Linderman, Kenny Meckel, Barbara VanHoy and Delanie Linderman; Stephanie Linderman, Taya Blum, Morgan Baier and Tommy Baier; as well as great-grandchildren Zakery Linderman, Mathew Mekel, Jayson Stephenson and Tara Linderman.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Troy Seventh-day Adventist Church off of Big Meadow Road in Troy.
