Bonnie M. Stinson

9/23/1980 — 5/10/2020

Bonnie Marie Stinson, 39, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 10, 2020, in her home in Kuna, Idaho.

She was born Sept. 23, 1980, in Lewiston, to Robert and Janene Stinson. She was a 1998 graduate from Prairie High School in Cottonwood, and later her journey led her to Boise, where she started her career as an engineering and estimating assistant at Morrison Knudsen/Aecom. There she started her family as well, having her son, Jacob Sisk, and her daughter, Abigail Stinson. Bonnie was an amazing mother to her children; she strived every day to give them the best life possible. She took a great deal of pride in doing so. They were her world. She was a dedicated employee of 20 years to her company; her problem solving skills and loyalty are irreplaceable. She was one of a kind.

She had a passion for the outdoors; from hunting, fishing, hiking or just cruising around in an old Willys Jeep with her parents and children by her side. Bonnie had an uncanny ability to reach people in a positive way. She had a lot of friends and was loved by all who were in her presence. She was always smiling and had a happy heart.

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Janene Stinson; son Jacob Sisk; daughter Abigail Stinson; grandson Clayton Sisk; grandpa Bill Stinson; grandma Barbra Myers; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Al Schmidt, grandmother Bonnie A. Stinson and uncle Billy Stinson.

She is going to be dearly missed but never forgotten. Family and friends and others whose lives Bonnie touched are invited to attend her services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Normal Hill Cemetery in Lewiston to reminisce, grieve and support each other in this difficult time in so many lives. Because of coronavirus conditions, the service will be graveside.

Bonnie was always generous with her time and skills. She helped me with IT challenges on numerous occasions! We worked together at MK/WGI/URS/AECOM and she weathered all the storms that came her way with such professionalism. I will miss her ready smile.

My prayers to her family and especially Jacob and Abigail.

We were so looking forward to having Bonnie working with us on the Board of the Friends of Morrison Knudsen Nature Center. She had just the right skills and personality to fit perfectly into our organization.

She was a delight to work with at the MK offices and the legacy companies and I am sure there are many engineering managers over there right now wondering how they are going to get their work done now.

Bonnie was an awesome person. I had the pleasure to work with her for about 15 years. She was always upbeat and would laugh at all of my stupid jokes and wise cracks. If you ever needed to make sure something had to be completed on time and correctly, you would take it to Bonnie. I will miss her!

Bonnie was a Gem. When we worked together over the phone she often had me laughing with her. Always an upbeat conversation. She will be missed not only as a fellow staff member, but as a friend. My heart goes out to all of the family members for their loss and hope the future will be full of happy memories.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Bonnie a bit working with her at WGI/URS/AECOM. Our sons also went to grade school together as well. She was an amazing person and will be missed, but never forgotten. Our time on this earth is so short! Live! Laugh! Love!

In the short time that I have known Bonnie at work, she was exhibited a bubbly smile. She cared about those she worked with. I will miss her smile. May the Lord comfort you and the memories that you made with Bonnie bring a smile to your face and comfort to your heart.

Bonnie was such a nucleus to our office - a huge problem solver. And if she didn't know the meaning of an error on my expense report or a spread sheet, she went to work directly to find solutions. She was huge for keeping us together as a group and regularly organized events as co-workers got scattered. And she kept my plants watered when I was out of the office. Such a ball of energy! She was an amazing generous soul.

Sadly, she endured a lot of personal hardship and we talked often - which I think helped get things off her chest. But, we also laughed a bunch because she frequently had adventure tales. I'm sad she left us and I will keep good memories - she deserves that.
