Nov. 9, 1956 – April 30, 2025

Catherine “CC” Claudia Yeats, beloved wife, mother and friend, passed away at home in Lewiston, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the age of 68. Born Nov. 9, 1956, in Colfax, CC lived a life defined by love, faith and generosity.
She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found deep strength in her faith throughout her life. CC had a love of history and learning, earning her bachelor’s degree in European history from Lewis-Clark State College, followed by a Master of Science in history from the University of Idaho.
CC worked as an associate at Walmart for many years before she retired, where she was known for her kind demeanor and warm smile. Anyone who crossed paths with her quickly became a lifelong friend.
She was best known for the care she showed to others, especially through the meals she lovingly prepared. Cooking was one of her greatest joys, and her kitchen was often filled with the smells of home-cooked food, warm laughter and the kind of comfort that only CC could offer. Her ability to make others feel welcomed, heard and cherished was truly remarkable.
She is survived by her husband, Rodger; her children, Kathryn “Katy” and Clinton; sister, Yvette Torpey; brother, John Faires; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorraine and George Faires.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 7, at the Lewiston LDS Church, 836 Preston Ave., Lewiston, where family and friends will come together to honor and celebrate her life.
