Charles “Chuck” Adamson was born on September 28, 1931 in Clearwater, Idaho to Opal Adamson. He attended Grade School in Pleasant Valley by Clearwater and then attended Junior High and High School in Clarkston, Washington until he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Chuck served from 1949-1952 during the Korean War and was Honorably discharged. Chuck moved back to the Lewiston area and married Delores Andrews in 1954. The couple moved to Spokane, Washington where Chuck worked as a Printer Apprentice until 1955. Chuck and Delores moved back to the Lewiston area and worked a variety of jobs. Chuck worked for the Idaho Transportation Department as a Surveyor Technician from 1961 until his health forced him to retire early in 1971. Chuck remained in the Lewiston area and enjoyed art, fishing, calligraphy and telling jokes. Chuck never knew a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew him. Chuck passed away surrounded by family and the Idaho State Veteran’s Home on March 17, 2019. He is survived by his three children, Vern (Tammy) Adamson; Richard (Cecile) Adamson and Machell Espy; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Idaho State Veteran’s Home in Lewiston for their care during Chuck’s final time. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, April 27, 2019 (10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.) at Crosspoint Church in Lewiston.
