Colleen was born Dec. 3, 1938, in Baudette, Minn., and left this earth in the early morning of Thursday, June 12, 2025.
She moved with her family to Lewiston when she was in grade school and met her first and lifetime Idaho friend, Joyce. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1956 and then moved to Spokane where she graduated from Sacred Heart Hospital’s training program with a radiology technology degree.
Colleen met her husband, Richard, while in Spokane. Richard proudly served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and they moved several times throughout his career. After he retired, they moved to Lewiston with their two girls, Lynne and Diane.
Colleen was involved with the St. Joseph Auxiliary’s volunteer toy and craft shop from 1997 until her passing. She loved to knit and enjoyed donating hundreds of baby hats to the hospital every year. In addition to donating time to St. Joseph, she also made toys, baby hats and afghans and donated them to University Medical Center in Tucson, Ariz.
Colleen’s husband preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister LaVonne Geesey of Marana, Ariz., her brother Linwood (Borg) Laughy of Moscow, several nieces and nephews, two grandnieces and a grandnephew.
