On Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, we lost our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend Dale Case, 85, of Lewiston.

Dale was born to Don and Alice Case in Lewiston on Feb. 4, 1933. He attended elementary school at Webster Elementary and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1951. He then attended the University of Idaho until he began serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On Oct. 6, 1956, he married the love of his life, Millie Ann Brown.

Dale is survived by his wife of 62 years; along with his sister, Donna (Bob) Breitkreutz; three children, Annette Amdal, Larry Case (Audrey) and Julie Brudie (Jeff); seven grandchildren, Nicole (Ward), Jason, Jeremy, Daisy, Taunya, Kirsten and Michael Jr.; and three great-grandchildren who were the apple of his eye, Wyatt, Cameron and Zoey Ann.

Dale worked for Potlatch Corp. for 40 years, working in various positions within the mill such as the environmental chem lab, spending the majority of his career as a journeyman electrician, retiring in 1994. Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, coaching baseball and playing men’s slow-pitch softball during the summer as the pitcher. He loved watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing sports. Dale and Millie Ann loved traveling in their motor home to the Oregon coast and fishing in Montana with friends. His parents and sister Elsie preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Congregational Presbyterian Church, with a covered-dish dinner to follow the service.
