I was born to Glenn McGarvey and Yeu Vonne McGarvey on Sept. 26, 1959, in Waterbury, Conn. I had two of the best parents anybody could ask for. My older brother, Glenn McGarvey Jr., was born before me by a couple of years. My younger brother, John, came nine months after me. He has preceded me in death. My parents later divorced and both have remarried, making a large family. I am not going to mention you all, but know that I love you all.

I moved to Lewiston with Uncle Clyde and Aunt Jean in 1982. They took me under their wings for many years, and I think I am still there. I love you guys. I was married in 1985 and had a son, Dillon, and a year later came my daughter, Katrina. I love you both.

There are a lot of special people in my life that have helped me along the way. You know who you are, so I am not going to mention you all. Know that your love was felt. To my adopted daughter, Shelly, know that I love you and you're going to be a great mom. To my girlfriend, Theresa, I am thankful for all you have done for me and I love you more than you know.

Well, I guess that's it. Have a cold one on top of the mountain for me.

Dale is survived by his mother, Yeu Vonne Feltman; father and stepmother Glenn Sr. and Janice McGarvey; son Dillon McGarvey; daughter Kate McGarvey; brother Glenn McGarvey Jr.; grandson Kamryn McGarvey; and several stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
