Gerald L. Parks

Jerry was born April 11, 1933, in Nampa, to Edgar and Leona Parks. The family moved to Lewiston in 1937. He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1951. On Oct. 11, 1952, he married the love of his life, Barbara L. O'Connor, at St. Stanislaus Church.

Jerry worked 37 years for Pacific Northwest Bell, retiring June 4, 1988. During his 27 years of retirement, Barb and Jerry did some traveling and especially enjoyed time spent at their summer place on Coeur d'Alene Lake, where many memories were made with family and friends. They also shared a love for sports and enjoyed watching their favorite basketball teams: the Gonzaga Bulldogs and Lady Warriors.

Jerry is survived by his children: sons Dennis (Colleen) Parks of Wenatchee, Steve (Cindy) Parks of Belize, and David (Diane) Parks of Nampa; and daughter Sheila (Marty) McWilliams of Meridian; grandchildren Andy, Michelle, Kyle, Joel, Erica, Justin, Megan, Jill and Jenny; and four great-grandchildren, Judah, Micah, Lucy and Audrey.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Barbara, and his parents.

The funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. March 12 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
