Harvey Elden Carter, 86, of Lewiston, passed away Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023.
Harvey born April 29, 1937, the youngest of nine children to Nellie Leone and Harvey Raymond Carter in Twin Falls.
Harvey graduated from Twin Falls High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from June 1956 to May 1960, where he received training as an Air Policeman. He enjoyed talking about guarding Air Force One and could describe it with great detail.
After leaving the Air Force, he became a diesel mechanic and later drove truck across the United States seeing the sites.
Harvey is survived by his children, Randy Carter, Penny Shelton, Greg Carter, Beverly James, Nancy Reynolds, Gloria (Allen) Hancock, Brad Bay, Lora Bay and Abigail Carter; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Maryan, his parents and siblings.
He will be missed.
