Howard L. Sharp, a longtime resident of Clarkston, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016.
He was born to Omer and Rita Sharp of Stall, Mo. He had one brother, Hubert Sharp; and two sisters, Evelyn Davis and Mary Davis.
On June 5, 1946, Howard married his high school sweetheart, Bethel Davis. Together they had three children, Lonnie "Vern," John "Bud" and Sue.
In 1958, they opened up the Arctic Circle restaurants, and in the '70s they opened the first Sharp's Burger Ranch.
Howard enjoyed gardening, golfing, painting and spending time with his family. He was also an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In addition to their children, he and Bethel had 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bethel; daughter Sue; and granddaughter Brenda.
A traditional LDS service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, with viewing at 9 a.m. at Clarkston's Second Ward, 1123 16th Ave., Clarkston.
