Jean Anderson passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at Golden Girls Manor, at the age of 90.
Jean was born Oct. 2, 1925, in Medford, Ore., to Dean and Bessie Lodge. She spent her early years growing up in Merrill, Ore. After graduating school, she moved to Seattle to live with her aunt, and later moved to Clarkston, where she resided until her passing.
In 1947, she married Wallace "Wally" Anderson; they were together until Wally's passing on Jan. 17, 2000. Jean spent her years working at an ice cream parlor and later on at the 4-10 Drive-Inn. She worked at the 4-10 for more than 25 years.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Wally.
She is survived by her four sons, Mike (Edith) Anderson of Lewiston, Wally (Penny) Anderson of Myrtle, Walt (Margie) Anderson of Spokane and Eric Anderson of Clarkston; and one daughter, Cheryl (Burl) McCann, of Clarkston.
Jean will be missed by her 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, longtime companion Roy Kennedy and countless friends.
She always enjoyed being around her friends and family, and never missed an opportunity to be in their company. Jean was an avid member of the Clarkston Eagles Club and enjoyed dancing with her friends, Tina, Leslie, Valerie and Terri. She also enjoyed watching sports and was a big fan of the Seattle Seahawks, Mariners, Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Oregon Ducks.
The Anderson family would like to extend their gratitude to the many health care professionals who took care of her in her time of need. They give thanks to Dr. Arora, Dr. Black, Dr. Gould, the Golden Girls Manor, Tri-State Memorial Hospital, Prestige Rehabilitation Center and Hospice.
A celebration of life ceremony is scheduled for 4 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Clarkston Eagles Club.
