Jessi Renee Six-Mundell left her earthly body on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025 (at the forever age of 29). She was 44 years old.
Jessi was born Aug. 15, 1981, in Lewiston, to Kathy Morgan and Dan Barnes. She was welcomed by her older sister, Jodie, and then met her twin, Dani, in November of 1982. Her mother then married Jessi and Dani’s “Pops” Bruce Grimoldby. She grew up in Lewiston, spending many summers on the Snake River with her dad, playing softball and creating lasting memories with her friends.
Anyone that truly knew her would say that she always had a soft spot in her heart for the underdog. She would quietly give what she could — whether that was support, money, time — in order to help people in need. This extended into her career where she served her community as an LPN, RN and a nurse practitioner.
From a young age, Jessi had always dreamed of having a large family. She was first blessed with her oldest son, Gavin Smith, and then four more kids followed: Morgan Six, Dallas Six, Solis Six and Ashton Six.
She will be deeply missed by all those she touched.
Jessi is survived by her five children Gavin, Morgan (Tyson), Dallas, Solis and Ashton, husband Nate Mundell, mother Kathy Morgan, father Dan Barnes, stepfather Bruce Grimoldby, sisters Jodie (Mary) and Dani (Barnes), granddaughter Charlie, “cousin” Molly Whitlock and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Rae Smith (“Monga” who likely welcomed Jessi on the other side in her Cadillac loaded up with ice cream and a tattoo gun) and grandfather Cecil Smith.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at the Lewiston Community Center, 1424 Main St., Lewiston. The family requests donations or support for local charities in lieu of flowers.
