Jonna Lynn Prus, 58, of Lewiston, passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023. She was born on Oct. 30, 1964.

If you knew Jonna, you know how much she loved life. She had a big smile for everyone. Some of her favorite things were, first and foremost, her family. She was so very proud of her sons. Her love for her sons ran deep, and she always hoped that they knew that. She also had a love for music, dancing, motorcycles, traveling, adventure and the ocean. She enjoyed sharing her “Roadie Reports” during her adventures.

Jonna is survived by her three sons, Nacsan Irby (Ashley), Keatan Irby (Jeni) and Drew Leach. She was also blessed with ten grandchildren: Ricky, Brayden, Kloee, Sammy, Lexy, Makayla, Riley, Mahciah, Hallie and Jaxsyn. Additionally, she had a great-granddaughter, Ellowyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Estal Prus, a sister, Merla, nieces Wanda and Wendy, and two grandchildren, Jorden and Chance.

Jonna’s educational journey included attending primary school in Montana, and junior high and high school in Kamiah. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in social services from Lewis-Clark State College.

Throughout her life, Jonna held various jobs. However, her most cherished job was working with the Nez Perce Tribe in social work and victims’ assistance. Helping people was something she was truly passionate about.

In her leisure time, Jonna enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, embarking on adventures and visiting the ocean. These were some of her favorite hobbies, which brought her immense joy.

In memory of Jonna Lynn Prus, may her love for life and her cherished memories bring comfort to her loved ones during this difficult time.

A memorial service to honor Jonna’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home, 920 21st Ave., Lewiston. The compassionate team at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
