Kathleen Glidden passed away peacefully in Clarkston on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at age 81. She was born in Highbridge, Wis., on Feb. 2, 1938, and attended high school in Kamiah, where she met her loving husband of 62 years, Sam Glidden. They were high school sweethearts, got married in Kamiah, owned a flower shop and raised their children in Claremont, Calif., before moving to Lewiston, where she opened her own candy shop called “The Goodie Garden.”
She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Bridget and Heather; her sons, Tom and Donald; her seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren (ages 18 months to 16 years); her sister, Judy Lyda; and two nieces.
