Linda Carol Wormell Spencer, 68, passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.

Linda was born Feb. 14, 1947, the first of four children born to Darrell Clemens and Marjorie (Allen) Wormell. She was born in St. Joseph's Hospital and attended schools in Lewiston before graduating from Lewiston High School in 1965. She attended Brigham Young University, graduating cum laude in 1971 with degrees in English and Latin.

Linda married Jerry L. Spencer on Aug. 21, 1969, and they celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary this past summer.

Linda had five children and was very involved with and supportive of all their activities and sports. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many church callings. Linda was a member of the 4-H program in her youth and continued to be active with the organization throughout her life as a club leader, clothing and textile supervisor and project judge for 4-H and general fair admissions.

Some of her favorite activities were spending time with family and friends, working on her family history, perfecting her cooking and baking or trying out new recipes, and sewing everything from pillowcases to wedding gowns. She also passed her skills on to her children and the members of her 4-H group.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Jerry; children Catherine Spencer of Lewiston, Liz (William) Davenport of Lewiston, Jared (Debbie) Spencer of Oak Harbor, Wash., Rachel (Jeremy) Borrowman of West Jordan, Utah, and Maryssa Spencer of Lewiston; and five grandchildren whom she adored, Samantha, Rowenna, Piper and Griffin Spencer and Andrew Borrowman. She is also survived by her sister, Kris (Terry) Swearingen; and brothers Doug (Gwen) Wormell, and David (Karen) Wormell; stepsisters Russie Hastings and Judy (James) Hoffman; and many special nieces and nephews, as well as her best friend, Debbie (Gregg) Presnell and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and close friends Claudia and Norm Rich.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 16th Street and Ripon Avenue in Lewiston, with the funeral at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens.
