Lloyd married Darlene Wessels on July 14, 1956, in Greencreek. They made their home in Lewiston. In 1972, they built their home on Mission Creek in the Culdesac area, where they raised their seven sons.

Lloyd liked to hunt and fish and be in the outdoors. In later years he enjoyed riding his four-wheeler with his brothers and cousins, exploring the mountains and countryside. Woodworking was something he enjoyed doing and he shared his projects with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene at their home; along with his sons, Tom (Rae Jean), Bob (Cindy), Jody, Bill, Karl, Scott and Jeff. He has five grandchildren, Zach (Shauna), Ryan, and Daniel Hasenoehrl, Charlee (Taaron) Townsend, and Lindsee Hasenoehrl; along with two great-granddaughters.
