Lola May Collins passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Living Spring Residential Care from heart problems, surrounded by her family.
She was born May 6, 1930, in Hot Springs, N.M., to Clemit and Moriene McCleskey. She moved to Lewiston in 1956 and spent her life caring for her family.
Lola is survived by her husband, Charles "Pete" Collins, who will be 90 on Sept. 18, to whom she had been married for 68 years. She is also survived by her son, Ed Collins; daughters Pat Fowler (husband John Fowler), Nancy Maechtle (husband Tom Maechtle); sons Harold Collins and Allen Collins (wife Chris Collins). Lola was the most loved mother by her seven children, 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Two daughters, Janet Spring and Sharon Collins, preceded her in death.
Lola was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Clarkston. She loved birds, flowers and genealogy. She was a member of the Garden Club, Gideons and Daughters of the American Revolution.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home.
