Lynn Weber, age 62 of Uniontown-Colton, passed away from ovarian cancer on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.
Lynn was born on August 28, 1953 to Dick & Leneve Frank. Lynn was raised in Walla Walla and had fond memories of working in the family-run bakery, family trips to Mill Creek and boating on the Snake and Columbia rivers with her relatives. She graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1971 and attended college at Washington State University. While at WSU she met Dave Weber, they married in 1974, and both graduated in 1975. Lynn's career and love for education was in her blood, as her father Dick was a life-long educator and principal in the Walla Walla school system. Lynn was a trusted substitute teacher in Colton, known for her keen ability to keep every classroom learning without pause and building special relationships with students. Most important to her was to be a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother.
Activities with family and friends were Lynn's passion and motivation. For her, summer meant making memories at the lake cabin and cruising in the boat on Lake Coeur d' Alene. Traveling and exploring new places was a thrill and an opportunity to discover. She loved winter ski vacations, shopping in unique towns, and attending her kids' school events. As an avid fan of Washington State University Athletics, Lynn took great pride in cheering on the Cougars. The Christmas season especially brought her joy.
She was so blessed in her final days to be surrounded by her family and friends. Not once did she complain about all of the challenges she faced, focusing only on how her illness affected the ones she loved.
Lynn is survived by her husband Dave Weber at home; three sons, Bryce (Kimberly) Weber of Silverdale, WA, Tim (Miranda) Weber of Clarkston and Matt Weber of Colton; six grandchildren Aiden, Colin, Kade, Lucas, Mara, and Jocelyn; mother Leneve Frank of Walla Walla; brother Gordon (Noreen) Frank of Howell, NJ; and many nieces, nephews, and cherished cousins. Lynn is preceded in death by her father Dick Frank and her grandson Joshua.
Lynn's funeral service will be held at Saint Boniface Catholic Church in Uniontown, WA at 11 am, Saturday, January 16. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund or Cougar Athletic Fund. Online memories or condolences can be shared with the family at www.vassar-rawls.com.
