Rick's life was cut short at the age of 57 on Sunday, May 31, 2015, by a fatal fall in his home. He was born to Jacqueline and Richard Denison on Sept. 14, 1957, in Spokane. He completed his education in Spokane, graduating from Rogers High School in 1975. Rick started work for Kaman Industrial in Spokane, after a time transferring to Lewiston and working in outside sales. He took a hiatus from Kaman to work as a parts manager for the Hells Canyon Harley-Davidson shop. At the time of his death he was working for Kaman.
Rick had a love of his family, friends, motorcycles, guns, hunting and meeting new people. As a single dad, he raised his girls with unending generosity and love. He would do anything for anybody without a second thought.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Jay Hoffman.
He is survived by his bride, Susan Woods Denison; his daughters, September and Danyail; grandsons Aidan, Kayson, Elan and Liam; and also his stepchildren, Ben Lind (Eva Li) and Sara Kennely (Roger); and stepgrandchildren AnnaBella, Melvin, Elizabeth and Greg; his sisters, Debbie Hoffman and Vikki Denison; along with his aunt, Marilee Bailie (Jim); and parents-in-law, Richard and Marilyn Woods; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Cindy Nightingale (Steve), Nancy Woods (Jana), Joan Baumberger (Larry) and Rick Woods (Tina); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends he called family.
A celebration of Rick's life will be held at 5 p.m. July 18 at the Ketch Pen in the Lewiston Roundup grounds. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an account set up at Potlatch No. 1 Federal Credit Union in Susan Denison's name to help with care and education of his grandsons.
