Dad passed away peacefully, napping in his favorite chair. Now he is reunited with the love of his life, Berditta.
He was born Dec. 17, 1928, in Rosetta, Idaho, to Louis and Elsie Grant. He was in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952. After an honorable discharge, he married Berditta Yochum on June 5, 1955, in Clarkston. They started a family in Gifford and then moved to Lewiston in 1962. He worked for Potlatch for 30 years before retiring in 1992. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Berditta; and daughter Patty. He is survived by his son Russ and wife Karla; daughter Lynette Ellis; son Stacy and wife Rosalie; and son Tracy; grandchildren Clay, Holly, Tabitha, Jake, Zachary, Brianna, Casey and Cody; as well as great-grandchildren Jack, Annie and Ryker.
There will be a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Friday at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home.
Bob's services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Catholic Church, 3330 14th St., Lewiston, with graveside services to follow at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens. A memorial dinner will follow at All Saints Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Family Hospice.

I so enjoy your Dad and Mom, I didn't know them well, but very nice people. I just saw your Dad at Bud Monroe's funeral, he looked so frail. I am sure that he and your Mom are happy to see each other again.
