Robert "Bob" H. Brollier Jr. passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, in his home after a battle with cancer. His loving family gathered around worshipping God as he peacefully went to his reward in heaven.
He left a legacy of kindness, gentleness, true love and integrity.
Bob was born Aug. 14, 1935, in Los Angeles, the son of Robert H. Brollier Sr. and Viola Virginia Garren. He graduated from Brawley Union High School, Brawley, Calif., in 1953. He married his high school sweetheart, Virginia Sue Swink, in 1954. Together they raised four children. After living in California for the first 50 years of marriage, they moved to Lewiston. Bob and Virginia celebrated 61 years of marriage July 1, 2015. Bob worked as a parts salesman for Ford Auto Parts and eventually became the warehouse manager for Lucas Industries. After his retirement, he worked briefly for Opportunities Unlimited Inc. in Lewiston.
Bob is survived by his wife and four children, Robyn (Cande Gonzales) of Cornelius, Ore., Steve Brollier (Dreama) of Downey, Calif., Sue (Dan Harris) of Clarkston, and Lorraine Garza of Lewiston; his brother, George Brollier (Laurie) of San Bruno, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, Cherise Gonzales Hererra, Philip Gonzales, Hannah Gonzales, Valerie Lance, Robert Gonzales, Julia Brollier Manners, Kala Brollier Gonzales, Tara Brollier, Stevie Brollier, Janell Harris Avila, Brianna Aguirre Garcia, Danny Harris, Chelsea Garza, Brian Garza; and 14 great-granchildren (and two on the way).
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Norma Jean Morgan and Frances Lee Smith.
A memorial service will take place at 6 p.m. today at New Life Apostolic Church, 1010 21st Ave. in Lewiston.
