Rodger Lee Williams, age 84, passed away on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, due to heart failure at Twin Rivers Memory Care.
Rodger was born on Oct. 24, 1941, in Orofino, to Jack Williams Sr. and Hazel Rodgers. He was raised in the Ahsahka and Orofino area and graduated from Orofino High School, where he excelled as a three-sport athlete, best known for his accomplishments on the baseball diamond.
Rodger proudly served in the United States Army, assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 3rd Brigade and was honorably discharged on Nov. 30, 1969.
He spent many years working as a butcher, including from 1976 to 2002 while residing in Spokane. After retiring, Rodger returned to Orofino, settling in the Riverside area.
Rodger was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Joan Danner, who worked and retired as an administrative real estate secretary.
He is survived by his sons and daughter, Scott Williams, Corey Williams, Greg Turcott, Jeff Turcott and Karla Yeend.
Rodger will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of all sports and coaching, dedication to his family and pride in his roots in Idaho.
