Roger passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017.
He is survived by his endearing companion, Joyce Eccles. Since 2012, he resided at the Idaho State Veterans Home, where he was well cared for and loved. Joyce and Roger enjoyed the center's activities. Her advocacy and devotion for Roger was stellar.
After the military, Roger lived in Culdesac with his family - Phyllis, Tina and Nina. Roger farmed and began his 35-year employment with Potlatch Corp.
Roger was a member of the Lewis-Clark Antique Power Club. He had fun finding and restoring vintage motors. He enjoyed working with the high school welding class. Roger took pleasure in many Alaskan fishing trips.
He leaves behind siblings Martha and husband Johnny, Nancy and husband Franklyn, and Brother Bill and wife Gladys. Among several nieces and nephews, special to Roger's heart is Bryce.
Popular and respected throughout the community, Roger will be missed. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
I love you, Dad.
