Ron Paffile passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at the age of 70.
He was born to Eugene (Red) and Charlotte (Nadine) Couch Paffile on Aug. 3, 1944, in Lewiston.
Ron grew up in Lewiston, attending school and helping with the family farm along with his cousins, aunts and uncles. Ron was very fond of his paternal grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her during his youth.
Ron was always up for an adventure and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his family and friends as well as meeting new people. Some of Ron's hobbies included four-wheeling, bike riding, camping, gardening, fishing, collecting antiques, house sitting for his friends and spending time with cousin Jim on his boat, even though he was not fond of water. Ron spent a great deal of time at Waffles and More hanging out with his gang. They were very important to him. For a time Ron was famous for his Monday night get-togethers in his driveway. Ron was so fond of people he was always the center of social gatherings.
Ron worked for Pacific Fruit, which was an extension of his early education of produce from the Paffile family business. He moved to Coeur d'Alene for a time and worked in the rental car business before moving back to Lewiston and driving a truck for USF Reddaway until his retirement.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Red; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his mother, Nadine; and brother, Ed; along with nieces, nephews and many cousins.
A celebration of Ron's life will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Eagles Lodge on Fifth Street in Clarkston.
