Ronald Ray Grizzle, 78, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016. He was born Oct. 31, 1937, to Thelma and Bennie Grizzle in Flatwoods, Ky.

He proudly served and retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of dedicated service. Duty, reliability, honor, dignity and respect were all qualities he exuded every day and held in high esteem. He was an inspiration. He always found light in the darkness. He was always telling some sort of funny story or joke in hopes it would at least make you chuckle, and he would beam with happiness when he was able to get a full belly laugh from you.

He married Mary Kathrine Worley on Dec. 11, 1959. Shortly after, they welcomed four children into their family, all of whom were girls, Darla, Gegit, Melody and Ronneaca. He was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren who he loved dearly.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Lewiston.
