Scott J. Forsmann, 48, of Lewiston, died approximately Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at his home due to an accidental death.
Scott was born May 26, 1970, in Cottonwood. He grew up in Cottonwood and attended Prairie High School, graduating in 1988. As a young man he worked for Greg Stolz on the farm in Greencreek. After graduation from Prairie High School, he went to work for Bill Stolz as a mechanic’s helper. Then worked for Nuxoll Shell Station for several years.
Scott moved to Lewiston in 1991 and worked for Don’s Chevron as a mechanic and tow truck driver. He worked for Bob’s Garage Doors for several years, and in 2008 started Forsmann Doors. At the time of his death he was employed at Wayne Dalton.
Scott was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish. He was a volunteer with Wheatland Fire Protection District. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. We all have great camping and fishing memories with him. Scott loved baseball and track and went to the state meet in Boise in the 2-mile, mile and medley relay every year.
Scott is survived by his parents, Robert W. Forsmann and Patricia A. (Stolz) Forsmann; three brothers, Bryan, Greg (Lois) and Doug, and one sister, JoReen (Cameron) Brinkman; nieces Alexandra, Danielle, Grace and Isabelle; nephews Miles, Mitch, John, George and Austin; and great-nephew Jedidiah.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Leonard and Helen Stolz; and paternal grandparents Clarence Forsmann and Regina Hollandsworth, and Cornelius Kinzer and Alma Nickol.
A funeral will be held Jan. 11 with rosary recited at 11 a.m. and Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Greencreek, with Father Paul officiating. Scott will be buried in the Greencreek Cemetery.
