Sharon Conley, 56, passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at her Lewiston home, following a long but courageous battle with multiple system atrophy (MSA). We know she is now at peace, but our hearts are broken and we miss her more than words can express.
Sharon was born May 21, 1959, in Denver, to Robert and Hazel Meyers. Her family relocated to Pocatello a short time later, where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from Pocatello High School in 1977. In 1982, she met Tim Conley, her lifelong love and soulmate. The two were married Aug. 29, 1987. Russ was born the following year and their second son, Kyle, was born in 1992. The family relocated to Lewiston in December 1992.
She worked at Kraft Foods and UPS in Pocatello and continued her career with UPS in Lewiston until August 2012. Sharon was a tireless and proud UPS'er, and having to retire because of her illness was a devastating blow to her.
Sharon was a devoted wife and mother, making sure her sons never wanted for anything, and always giving selflessly while asking for nothing but love in return. She loved watching her boys play baseball, and for 16 years, as they progressed from Little League through American Legion, she never missed a game. She made many friends in the baseball community and cherished her time with all of them.
She enjoyed traveling, in recent years taking trips to Cancun, Mexico, the Kentucky Derby and an Alaskan cruise with extended family. Her favorite pastimes included playing cards, fishing and camping, the Denver Broncos, yard work, pool league and girl trips. She loved to decorate her home for any and all occasions, and neighbors didn't need a calendar to know the next holiday because Sharon's yard decorations gave it away. She amassed a shoe collection Imelda Marcos would admire. She loved to surround herself with friends and family, welcoming guests from near or far for a brief visit or an extended stay.
Sharon's family was her pride and joy and her highest accomplishment. She raised two fine sons in Russ and Kyle and was the guiding light for Tim, who was always by her side and whose tireless dedication to her care during her illness allowed her to fight on, but to never complain - as was her way. Sharon's heart was filled with love and laughter. She focused on the lighter side of life, even finding ways to laugh in the face of her illness. She left all who were touched by her life with her gifts of ease and grace.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Tim; sons Russell (Brigitte) and Kyle of Lewiston; mother Hazel Meyers of Boise; sisters Katherine (Charles) Gamble of St. Maries, Bobette Meyers of Boise and Janet (Senussi) Eltraprolsi of Aurora, Colo.; brothers Kerry (Cindi) Meyers of Buckley, Wash., and Christopher (Rae) Meyers of Pocatello; mother-in-law Cathy Conley (Geoff Ranere) of Pocatello; and in-laws Dave (Deanna) and Brian (Jonette) Conley of Boise, Jan (Ken) Stewart of Fruitland, Idaho, and Pam Conley of Jordan, Utah. She's also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and Ozzy (woman's best friend).
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Meyers; and brothers Richard Meyers and Brian Meyers.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Catholic Parish, 3330 14th St., in Lewiston. A luncheon will immediately follow the service.

Sharon will be greatly missed by all of us who had a chance to work with her at UPS through the years. She was such a good person and set a great example of being true to her principles and sticking to her guns in spite of her health challenges. We are all a little better for having known her and so very sad to say goodbye.
