We mourn the loss of Arlona Mae Montee (Eubank) our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt who died Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, in Lewiston.

Arlona was born July 20, 1947, in Braxton County, W.Va., to Russell M. Eubank Sr. and Vernie Mae (Weese). She married Charles Montee on April 16, 1966, and brought forth two wonderful children Kenneth and Jennifer.

She worked in housekeeping at St. Joseph Hospital, until her health deteriorated. She loved the job and the people she worked with. Arlona loved people and always saw the best in them.

She especially loved art and music. She dabbled with painting and colored pencils and liked creating landscapes. Music gave her great joy, and the Eagles were her favorite band. She never attended a concert until she went to see Paul McCartney in Seattle with her brother in 2013.

She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Earl Montee, brother Michael David Eubank Sr., sister Arleen Sue Jackson, mother Vernie Mae Hynes and father Russell M. Eubank Sr. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Montee; sister Margerat Myers; brothers Russell Eubank, Thomas Eubank and Tim Eubank (Nancy), of Vancouver, Wash.; granddaughter Ashley Silva, of Ephrata, Wash., and great-granddaughters Haley, Kaitlyn, Avery Silva, of Ephrata,; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the staff at the Royal Plaza in Lewiston. Your unwavering passion, compassion and dedication to the care of patients and their families have made an immeasurable difference during a challenging time. Your kindness and professionalism have brought comfort and peace, and for that, we are truly thankful.

The service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home, 920 21st Ave., Lewiston. A family viewing will precede the service at 12:30 p.m.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society in Arlona’s name.
