God called Beverly Wilkes home Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, to spend eternity with the love of her life, her husband Bill, who passed away in November of 2017.
Beverly was born July, 1, 1932, in Hector, Minn.
She met William Wilkes while on a family vacation, and they were married Sept. 2, 1951, after he was discharged from the U.S. Army. They spent their lives raising their family in Bloomington, Minn. Bev had a long career in banking, and was dedicated to helping others with their finances. Bev and Bill loved to travel the U.S., and family vacations always included camping and fishing.
After retirement, Bev and Bill moved to the Lewiston valley to be near their daughters.
Bev was an expert seamstress, and she loved gardening, crafts, family gatherings, mystery books and hummingbirds. She made everyone feel welcome and had a wonderful sense of humor. She had a strong faith in God. Bev was a devoted, loving mother and a gentle person who treated everyone with compassion and respect.
Her family includes her daughters, Shernie Wilkes (John Faires) and Amy (Mike) Wood.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
