Birdie Moore passed away peacefully Friday, April 20, 2018, at her home. She was born Dec. 27, 1925, in Nampa.
Birdie married Buford Moore in 1950, which later ended in divorce. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Mary Campbell; brothers Paul and Melvin; sister Betty; and stepson Wayne Moore.
Birdie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved taking long drives and spending time with friends, but her love and devotion to her grandchildren was remarkable. She was a longstanding member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lewiston.
Birdie was employed at Pacific Northwest Bell right out of high school as a telephone operator, and she retired in 1984.
She is survived by her children Dale Moore, Milton and Becky Moore and David Moore. She also is survived by her eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the LDS church at 836 Preston Ave., Lewiston.
