Bruce Sherman, 100, of Juliaetta, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018. Bruce enjoyed packing, cattle ranching and all things horses. He married his high school sweetheart, Fay (Cochran) Sherman, on Sept. 1, 1935.
Bruce was an honored veteran who served in World War II. He was a major contributor in the growth of Juliaetta, including being a founding father of Juliaetta fire and ambulance services. He spent 40-plus years as a rural mail carrier.
Bruce is survived by daughter Jill Sherman and daughter-in-law Zana Sherman, both of Juliaetta, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son Jack Sherman, wife Fay Sherman and sister Lois Fliger.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Juliaetta Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome.
