Casey tragically passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, in a car accident, doing what he loved — fishing. Casey was born to Jamie Hebert and Mace St. Clair on June 9, 1999.
Casey attended Orchards Elementary School and Sacajawea Junior High, where he played seventh and eighth grade football, and graduated from Lewiston Senior High School in June 2017.
Casey loved the outdoors: fishing, mushrooming, hiking, finding and cooking crawdads outback at home, skateboarding, riding his dirt bikes and cooking.
Casey’s first job after graduation was working at Bob’s Pet and Pond. That was his favorite job, as Casey was an animal lover. He was forever grateful that Chris Ulrich and Bobby Carpenter hired him and taught him all about the pet world. Casey was employed at Vista Outdoors, CCI/Speer, at the time of his passing.
Casey and Cassie were very close siblings. When they were younger, they would host Harry Potter movie marathons on the weekends. Both loved the movies.
Casey was introduced to concerts by Logan. Logan took Casey to his first concert, Yung Gravy; the rest was history. His favorite concert with Logan was Macklemore and as he said, he and Logan “danced the night away.” Logan was the love of Casey’s life, his soul mate.
Casey had three best friends for life. They met in kindergarten at Orchards Elementary and were always in Casey’s life doing things together: Kabe Baldwin, Jake Baker and John Stuivenga.
Casey is preceded in death by his mother, Jamie Hebert; grandpa Mike Hebert; great-grandparents Guy and Olive Steeley, Roy and Judy Smith; uncle/aunt Glen and Guyla Tiede; and aunt Jani Shaw.
Casey is survived by his grandmother, Charlene “Char” Hebert; beloved sister Cassie St. Clair (Isaac Williamson); Casey’s partner and love of his life, Logan Pitcher, and his beloved dogs, Rico and Charlie, who were adopted from animal shelters. Also surviving: dad Jim Maxwell, uncle Jason Hebert, Natalie, Taylor and Layla; uncle Russell Steeley and Rose; aunt Jody and Jim Craig, and cousins: Kody Triplett, Lindee Lorig, Marina Tiede, Sundee Phillips, Jace Elenich, Jessi Weaver, Tori Steeley, Carli Steeley, Kole Steeley, and all cousins.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens, followed by a celebration of life at the Pioneer Park band shell, in Lewiston. Everyone is welcome. Casual attire is encouraged and a luncheon will be provided.
Memorials in Casey’s name may be made to the Lewis-Clark Animal Shelter, Six Shelter Road, Lewiston.
