Colleen Welker McGee passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her Lewiston home. She was born to Kenneth and Charlotte McGee on June 22, 1956.
Colleen obtained her CNA license and then worked 40-plus years at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in several different positions. During this time she was named employee of the year. She made many lifelong friends while there.
She met Michael Cornelia and was with him until his passing. She then married James Welker until his passing. Lastly, she and Richard Grimm were companions.
Colleen was never able to have children of her own; however, she was a grandma, mother and an aunt to many. This was a responsibility that she took very seriously.
Colleen was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth McGee. She is survived by her mother, Charlotte McGee; her older siblings, Charlene Byde (Doug), Carol Lynch, Ted McGee (Cheri) and Barb Amos (Brett). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and additional family and friends.
Upon retirement Colleen enjoyed a difficult puzzle, sudoku, visiting with family and spending time with Richard Grimm. As Colleen would say often “Love you long time.”
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
