Dave Henderson, 85, of Lewiston, passed away Christmas Day, Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, with his wife Linda by his side, and all of his immediate family there to say goodbye.
Dave graduated from high school and went directly into the service. He served in the U.S. Army at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, where he was promoted to sergeant.
When he came home, he went to work for Steelman-Duff of Clarkston for 27 years as a heavy equipment mechanic all over the Northwest. Then he and his wife moved to Aberdeen, Wash., where he worked for Quigg Brothers until retiring and returning to the valley to be closer to his children and grandchildren.
He loved woodworking, fishing, gardening and was an avid reader. He will be dearly missed.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Linda; his children Russ and Denise Henderson, of Kamiah; Stacy and Quinn Yates, of Lewiston; his brother Ken Henderson, of Clarkston; grandchildren Lindy and Taylor Brown, of Minneapolis, and Tessa Henderson, of Hilo, Hawaii.
As requested, there will be no memorial service.
