Deborah Daulton

10/26/1960 — 2/24/2026

Deborah Kae Daulton, 65, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, with family by her side. Debb was born Oct. 26, 1960, in Jamestown, N.D., to Ed and Edythe (Haskin) Matchey. She was accompanied by her twin sister Donna.

In 1971, the family moved to Lewiston, Debb graduated from Lewiston High School in 1978. The twins delighted in trading classes to see if anyone would figure it out. Debb attended University of Idaho, Boise State University, before getting her LPN degree at Walla Walla Community College. She went on to Lewis-Clark State College and graduated with an RN degree.

She married Jeff Eacker, and in December of 1986, her beloved only child, Brandon Eacker was born. Debb and Jeff later divorced.

She started her nursing career at St. Josephs, later moving to Hermiston, Ore., and worked as a surgical RN at Good Shepherd’s Hospital, where she met and married her second husband, Steve Daulton. They also later divorced. Debb loved her career and met incredible friends and was blessed to be Brandon and Taylor’s OR nurse helping to bring her grandson into the world before retiring from Good Shepard after 35 years of service.

She was a member of the Irrigon Moose, where she found close friends who meant the world to her. She built her dream home in Irrigon, Ore., and loved to point out that it came with a river view. She loved spending time with her family, especially going to her grandson, Myle’s, sporting events. She loved the food channel and searching online for new recipes. Meals would take hours because everything had to be perfect.

Wanting to be closer to family, she sold her dream home and moved back to Lewiston, staying with her mother until she found the next home she could make perfect. Anywhere Debb went, friends and neighbors loved her. If there was anything Debb enjoyed most it was her people.

She was preceded in death by her brother Bob Matchey, father Ed Matchey and niece Deven Matchey. She is survived by her son Brandon (Taylor) Eacker, grandson Myles, mother Edythe Matchey, sisters Donna Wenstrom and Diana McCormick and brother Joe (Linda Silleman) Matchey. Plus, countless cousins, nieces and nephews.

Debb got to stay in her own home in her last days thanks to the loving care from her son Brandon, his wife Taylor, sister Diana, nieces Keasha and Tasha and Linda Silleman.

The family will be having a celebration of life at
