Debra “Debbie” Lynn Trueman, 68, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family due to complications of ALS/Lou Gehrig’s disease.
She was born June 3, 1955, to Lee and Shirley (Leonard) Newell in Beatrice, Neb.
Debbie graduated from Lewiston High School in 1973.
Debbie married Michael K. Trueman Feb. 24, 1974, in Coeur d’Alene. They later divorced in 1990.
Throughout her life she lived and worked in Idaho, Washington, Oregon and North Carolina. She spent most her life as a CNA. She loved taking care of people. Her passion in life was her kids, grandkids, sewing and baking. She always had a sewing project going and made great cookies and candy at Christmas time.
Survivors include her mother, Shirley; daughter Lisa (Sean) Deasy; grandkids Kylie (Thomas), Tyler and Addison; great-grandkids Ezra, Lincoln and Tommy; son Jon (Ashley) Trueman; grandson Charlie; sisters Carol Dvorak, Vickie Melhorn and Peggy Glasser; brothers Jeff and Bill Newell; and many aunts uncle nieces and nephews.
Also preceded in death was her father Lee and her sweet dog Bud-E.
A potluck celebration of life will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Lewiston Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, 1104 Warner Ave., Lewiston.
