Donald Roy Sampson, age 69, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2022, in Lewiston.
Don was born in Okinawa, Japan, to Sam and Noriko Sampson on Oct. 18, 1952, and grew up at various military bases across the United States and Germany, settling in Deer Park, Wash., in 1968 and graduating from Deer Park High School in 1971.
Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and musician. Don was always happy to spend time with friends and family discussing music, football and current events.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Noriko Sampson and brother Robert Sampson. Don is survived by his wife, Angela; sons Jason (Laurel) and Christopher (Holli); daughters Shanna (Stephanie) and Julia (Jeff); grandchildren, Katherine, Brandon, Savannah (Mitch), Keanna (Curtis), Mylo and Lola; great-grandchildren Drue, Mercy, Manu and Ridge; sister Susan (Jay) McIssac; and sister-in-law, Valerie Sampson.
A private graveside service will be held April 22, 2022, at the Chattaroy Cemetery in Chattaroy, Wash., followed by a memorial service at the Deer Park Community Center.
