Dorean Nuxoll

Dorean Nuxoll

9/6/1941 — 2/8/2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorean Nuxoll, who was taken from us too soon on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Dorean was born Sept. 6, 1941, to William and Irene Uptmor. She married the love of her life, Ernie Nuxoll, and together they shared 49 years of marriage.

Dorean is survived by her four children: Kim, Kevin (Judy), Brenda and Jodi (Lynn); her cherished grandchildren, Jory (Jacqui), Hailey (Iovko), Sawyer (Jaelyn), Madi, Kelsey, Nicole, Caylin and Darbi; and her six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Evelyn (Morgan), Marge, Marti, Judy (Steve), and sister-in-law Mary Lou along with her ‘outlaws’ Irene, Kathy, Pat, Angie and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Ernie; her brothers Richard, Robert (Lee); in-laws Donald ‘Bud’, Jim, and many dear outlaws.

Mom believed in staying busy — gardening, yard work, snowmobiling, riding ATVs — anything that kept her moving, which she often said was what kept her young. She poured her heart into caring for others, running a daycare until retirement and helping to “raise” countless children who became part of her extended family. She loved her family and extended family beyond measure and found great joy in time spent together, especially the many years at the family cabin, where Memorial Day weekends were filled with laughter, tradition and fun. Mom enjoyed playing game after game of pinochle, winters in Arizona, and a multitude of trips with her children, siblings and friends. Mom believed she moved quietly through the world, never knowing how deeply her light was felt by all who met her. Her warmth, kindness and steady presence left an enduring mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. She asked for so little and gave so much.

God gained one of the best. She was our rock, the glue that held our family together. Always willing to go on any adventure and never one to say no, she lived life fully and actively. At a young 84, she never slowed down.

We will miss you more than words can express.

Rosary and funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 19 at All Saints Catholic Church, 3330 14th St., Lewiston. A meal will be served following the Mass and then inurnment will take place at 3 p.m., at the Greencreek cemetery.
