Nancy Lee Lauderdale passed away Monday, April 10, 2017, at age 82. Our dear wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully due to age.
Nancy was born Dec. 19, 1935, in Chelan, Wash., to Lelon Earl Ward and Dorthy Fern Huston. She was the oldest of eight children.
She was required to attend church every Sunday and act as an appropriate young lady. Her parents then left the raising of her seven younger siblings to her.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father and mother; her brothers Roger, Larry, Earl and John Ward; and her grandson, Tony Lee Whicker. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Hal Lauderdale, whom she married in 1955 and sealed to in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1965 for time and all eternity; siblings Joe Ward, Patricia Weiss and Sharon Ward; her seven children and their spouses, Wendy Lauderdale, Brian and Debbie Lauderdale, Brett and Lisa Lauderdale, Shelley and Shann Love, Laura and Jan Silbert, Barry and Lisa Lauderdale, and Leah Aiono; 28 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Nancy was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Relief Society, the Primary, the Young Women's and served a full-time family history mission in Salt Lake City with her husband, Bruce. Nancy Lee was a happy, loving and caring person who will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the LDS Church, 836 Preston Ave., Lewiston. Viewing and visitation will take place at the church from 10 to 10:40 a.m. Interment will be at 3 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery, 5410 W. Monroe Road, Deer Park, Wash.
