Our beloved Marty passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, in Lewiston, following complications of a ruptured colon. She was 79.
Marty was born June 29, 1944, in Vallejo, Calif., to Henry G. Williams and Nina Elaine John. She married three times during her life with each union eventually ending in divorce.
She spent her childhood in Malad City, Idaho. At 18, she moved to Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1964. She worked as a bartender.
Marty was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a lifetime member of the Eagles. She loved helping her son with flower deliveries from Floral Artisry, as well as crocheting, knitting, reading and, when she younger, bowling.
Marty is survived by her son Mike Hollenbeck and grandson Mitch Hollenbeck of Lewiston; also, granddaughter Kaisha Midkiff and great-granddaughters Ravena Midkiff and Marlena Midkiff, all of Huson, Mont. She is survived by two brothers: Henry Deon Williams and DuWayne John “DJ” Williams; sister Shirley Jean Byington and grandson Blake Michael Hollenbeck.
A celebration of life and covered-dish meal will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Eagles Club, 1304 Main St., Lewiston.
