Patti Beach

1/5/1930 — 5/27/2024

Patti Ann (Graham) Beach passed away in Lewiston on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2024. Her children and grandchildren have many fond memories of spending Memorial Day with her, attending NAIA World Series ball games and making the drive to Boggan’s Oasis for milkshakes.

Patti was born on her family farm in Marquette, Neb., on Jan. 5, 1930, and was the youngest of seven children. She joins her parents Norval and Norma Graham, and her siblings Kenneth, Mabel Amy, Merla Marie, Ruby Arleen, Shirley Jerolyn and Norval Keith in Heaven. Patti thought often of her family, and enjoyed attending the long-running Graham Family Picnic in Moses Lake, Wash., since its inception in 1970.

Patti’s interests included music, baking and gardening. Her grandchildren remember her playing the organ and piano, baking copious amounts of Christmas cookies and special holiday rolls, and spending time working with her in her garden.

She was married to Joseph Beach in 1983 and lived with him at his ranch in Paradise, Ore. Sledding, horse riding, catching tadpoles and bottle-raising orphaned calves were all favorite activities she shared with her family. Holidays at the ranch were extra special.

Patti was an active volunteer in her community of Lewiston, winning the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Auxiliary Volunteer of the Year award in 2010. She loved serving as a pink lady at the hospital, with hospice and the cancer center. Patti was an alumna of Boise High School and Lewis-Clark State College.

Patti is survived by her children: Douglas Tweedy and Dianna Belieu, her grandchildren: Kenneth Belieu, Kristina Leachman, Brianna Mount and Paige Huffaker and her great-grandchildren: Joey Belieu, Rikki Ann Belieu, Evelyn Mount, Lucas Leachman and Tobias Leachman.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Pioneer Cemetery in Moses Lake. Patti was a longtime member of the Lewiston First Church of the Nazarene, where a memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, June 15. She loved helping at the church, teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School and her faith sustained her each day. All are welcome to attend the service and the memorial.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First Church of the Nazarene Critical Care Fund.
