Richard "Dick" Paul Guettinger 77, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017.
Dick was born Nov. 11, 1939, on the family farm near Colton, to Frank and Margaret Guettinger. Dick graduated from Colton High School, where he avidly participated in sports.
As a young man, Dick worked for Dunclick Concrete Products, which led him into a lifetime trade of finishing concrete. If there are any old concrete truck drivers out there who knew Dick, here is your chance to get the last word in.
Dick is survived by his sons, Chris and his family, and Dan, his wife Sherry and grandson Mason. He also is survived by his sister, Mary, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; his brother, Lee; and sisters Norma and Carol.
We will be honoring Dick's life with a burial and graveside service at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Gall Catholic Cemetery in Colton. Deacon Fred Schmidt will be presiding.
The family would like to thank Dr. Brady and the staff at Kindred Care for taking care of Dick these past few years.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.
