Richard “Rick” Dean Roberge, born Sept. 5, 1958, sadly passed away Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, surrounded by family.

Rick graduated from Lewiston High School in 1977. He joined the National Guard and served for six years. He went to taxidermy school and owned and operated Roberge Taxidermy in Lewiston. He was employed as a construction worker for most of his life.

Rick was an avid hunter; he loved getting out to hunt and being in the outdoors. He loved spending time with family and teaching his hunting secrets to the next generation.

He loved the little ones that called him papa, grandpa and “candy papa.” The oldest, Gage, was his sidekick. He said his greatest accomplishments were his grandkids.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Joseph Roberge, and nephew Tyrel Roberge. He is survived by his children, Joseph and Amanda; siblings, Roni, Larry and his wife Joni, Steve and Gini; and five grandchildren, Gage, Emma, Gracelynn, Sara and Walker.
