Sheryl A. Bloom passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Chaney; father Paul Ward; brother Daniel Ward; and beloved daughter Athena Frasier.
She will be so deeply missed and loved by those who survive her, including her wonderful husband, Randy M. Bloom; sons Ron (Kellie) Frasier, Jon Frasier and Levi (Dannette) Frasier; daughters Christie (Don) Charles and Melanie Frasier; grandchildren Monique Metzger, Chandler and Collin Frasier, Ethan Murillo, Olivia Garcia, Gabriel and Isaiah Gannon, Andren and Tanner Frasier, and Josiah Charles; sister Brenda (Bobbie) Reel; and brother Jack Ward. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. Her family meant the world to her.
Sheryl was born Jan. 3, 1952, in French Camp, Calif. Her parents lived in Stockton, Calif., at the time of her birth but later moved to Ukiah, Calif., where she was raised.
She worked as a nurse for many years and sadly ended her career at the veterans home in 2013. She greatly enjoyed her time as a nurse, but health issues forced her into an early retirement.
Sheryl loved many things in her life, including gardening, tending to her house plants and camping when her children were younger; but most of all, for many years leading up to her death, she loved spending time at the Oregon Coast with her husband.
A memorial to celebrate her life will be held in the spring, as she loved the nice weather and beautiful flowers. If you would like to join her family in this celebration, please send your name and address by email to mmfrasier@gmail.com.
