Stanley “Stan” Leon Arnett, 74, of Lewiston and formerly of Winchester, was taken home by God on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
Stan was born in Seneca, Okla., on Aug. 11, 1947, to Chester Arnett and Goldie Richardson.
He lived in Winchester for 25 years before relocating to Lewiston with his wife of 19 years, Ruth Arnett and great-grandson William.
He served in the United States Navy. He also served in the Vietnam War from October 1964 to May 16, 1968.
He was also a long and short haul truck driver for many years.
He enjoyed being around his family and friends. He loved being in the outdoors. He donated to various charities.
Stan is survived by his wife, Ruth Arnett; his brother Lloyd (Sharon) Arnett; his sons, Bill and Shawn (Jennie) Hammond; and his daughters Shelly Bibb and Blossom Stappler (Jason Smith). Stan is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews, in addition to many grandchildren and two great-great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Goldie Arnett; sister Jannette; brothers Sonny, Richard and Jim; and his son, William Hammond.
Stan will be loved and missed dearly.
