Terri Lynn Bowlin passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at the age of 71 at her home — Lewiston Transitional Care of Cascadia. She was born Dec. 2,1954, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lewiston, to Pete and Carol Bowlin. She was the youngest of their four children.
Terri was born with cerebral palsy, but she never allowed her disability to keep her from learning, growing and enjoying life. She lived with her family in North Lewiston and attended Opportunity School there. Terri also proudly participated in Special Olympics, where she earned several ribbons and trophies in bowling and other sports. The Special Olympics motto, “Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt,” truly reflected Terri’s spirit and determination in all aspects of her life.
After the passing of her father and when her mother became ill and was no longer able to care for her, Terri moved to Lewiston Transitional Care of Cascadia. There, she thrived, gained even more independence and formed many meaningful and lasting friendships.
Terri is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Sandy Scruggs and Jane Woolsey, her brother Randy Bowlin (wife, Jerry), niece Shayleigh Montgomery (Liam, Landon, Olivia) and many other extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother and father.
Terri was known for her warm personality and joyful outlook on life. She always had a smile on her face and was always ready to meet a new friend. When saying goodbye, Terri would often give one of her big, beautiful smiles and say, “Don’t worry about me.” Those words will be remembered by all who knew her.
Terri’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and love to the entire staff of Lewiston Transitional Care of Cascadia for the compassionate care they provided Terri over the past 14 years. Your kindness helped make LTC her home and made all of you part of her family.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 21, at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home, 920 21st Ave., Lewiston.
