Tommy Hurst, 68, of Sacramento, California, passed away on March 23, 2026, in Lewiston, Idaho.
Tommy was born on May 28, 1957, in Sacramento, California, to Gerald and Cora, and was a twin. He spent his early years growing up in Orangevale and Elverta, where he was active in Eagle Scouts and enjoyed running track. These early experiences reflected the determination and adventurous spirit that would define his life.
As an adult, Tommy was known for his strong work ethic and deep love for his family. He had a passion for excitement - especially anything fast or on the water - and was always ready for the next adventure. He cherished time spent with friends, particularly his lifelong friend, Tom. Those who knew Tommy will remember his bold nature, his loyalty, and the familiar sight of a Dr. Pepper always close at hand.
Tommy is survived by his four children: Robert, Amanda, Joshua, and Ryan; his daughters-in-law, Ruvilyn and Rachel; and his six beloved grandchildren: Jedidiah, Berekiah, Sariah, Nathanael, Gabriel, and Grace. He is also survived by his brother, Kenny; his sister, Bonnie; his brother-in-law, Chris; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Cora Hurst; his stepfather, Gary; and his two wives, Sabra and Suzy.
Tommy’s life was marked by resilience, love, and an enduring sense of adventure. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
