Toni Ann Palacios Porter, 54, passed away peacefully in her home while surrounded by her family Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, in Kendrick. She was born Oct. 30, 1963, in Price, Utah, to Manuel Palacios and Lydia Escandon Palacios.
Toni married Lawrence Banks and they were blessed with their son, Lawrence Banks Jr. Lawrence and Toni later divorced. Toni then married Jim Porter in 2002 in Price.
She was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness on Aug. 16, 2003, and began her full-time preaching work in 2009.
Toni was the happy owner of two dogs, Smokey and Cy. She loved canning her fruits and vegetables and was a wonderful cook. She also loved to dance; it didn't matter where she was, if there was a beat she was dancing to it. Toni loved having fun and laughing with her grandson, Ezra, and her great nieces and nephews, Harley, Ellie and Dalton.
Our beautiful mother, wife, grandmother (Lita), daughter, sister, aunt and friend will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by mother Lydia Escandon Palacios, brother Thomas and niece Jessica Christman.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Porter, of Kendrick; father, Manuel Palacios; son Lawrence Banks Jr., of Kendrick; daughter-in-law Ashlea and grandson Ezra Banks, of San Diego; son Matthew (Donna) Porter, granddaughter Amirah, and son Timothy Porter, of Lewiston.
Her siblings include Carmen (deceased; Frank) Guzman of Taylorsville, Utah; Elizabeth (Van) Constan of Denver; ReNae (Joe) Christman of Price; Juanita (Jim) Daviner of Roseville, Calif.; Andrea (Gary) Hall of Price; Gilbert Palacios of Sunnyside, Utah; Robyn Palacios of Holladay, Utah; and Ernie Valdez, of Kearns, Utah.
Her nieces and nephews are Lydia, Frank Jr., Randy, Michelle, Steve, Cassie, Joey, William, Kristine, Dustin, Manny, Anthony and Salvador.
She also had many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family would like to express gratitude to Steve and Tammy Norgaard for the loving support and care they provided to the Porter, Banks and Palacios family. A special thanks to The Kindred at Home Hospice Center for providing amazing love and support.
